Castle Leslie Riding Club

Castle Leslie Riding Club is based at the famous Castle Leslie Equestrian Centre, Glaslough, Co. Monaghan. With over 50 members it is the largest club in the North Eastern Region of the Association of Irish Riding Clubs and one of the oldest clubs in the Association's history.

We have members from all walks of life and every age group from 17 to 70 and from both sides of the border! With members taking active part in all aspects of riding clubs activities, the club has continuing success in the areas of Showjumping, Eventing, Dressage, Hunter Trials and Cross Jump.

Our club evening is Tuesday, and we alternative between lessons with our resident trainer in the superb indoor arena at Castle Leslie, or availing of their super cross country facilites in the summer months.

The club also arrange more specialist lessons in showjumping and eventing along with more casual social evenings. New members are always welcome to join (minimum age 17), please contact our secretary Heather Camblin for more details.

There will be a committee meeting on the last Tuesday of every month prior to the 8.30pm lesson. All committee members should make an effort to attend this meeting at 7.45pm sharp in the Hunting Lodge. If any club member wishes to raise any issue whether it be at club or regional level please let the club secretary know in advance of the meeting.

The region meetings will be attended on a rota basis on the first Wednesday of every month and this rota will be sorted out at the next committee meeting on the last Tuesday in November

Don't forget the club lessons every Tuesday night down at the Castle at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

The new club saddlecloths are available from Meredith at a cost of 20 euros each..... they must be lucky as the team were wearing them when they won at the Festival!!!
